Dogs crash another Homecoming beating Ozen 31 - 14.

The Dogs were in a situation to come out or go home. I was glad to see the Dogs shake off the loss to PNG and focus on Ozen's ability to run, run, and run again. The Bulldog defensive appeared to be a little reserved in the first half but the second half looked like the old Dog "D" with some big time pressure on Ozen QB and little room for the speedy Patterson to run.

The Dog offense never quit trying to make things happen and Asa Cardenas made some great catches to keep the drives alive, along with a one handed catch in the end zone that broke Ozen's will. Asa was not alone though as Bass and Gutierrez, and Breaux made some good cuts up field and proved they can run hard. Asa also shared the passes with seniors Stanley and Broussard and Ozen was never sure who the pass was going to. It's great to have so many hands out there that you can count on. Sophomore Ryan Brady has grown tremendously and will be a force for a few years.

Special teams came out ready to go again and senior Brian Bedford and sophomore Nick Cardenas have became headhunters and football seeking missile's with the ability to make you pay for catching the ball.

Scoring summary:

Field Goal 36 yards Trahan 3

Pass Bellow to Brady 34 yards: Trahan PAT 10

Pass Bellow to Broussard 16 yards: Trahan PAT 17

Pass Bellow to Cardenas 9 yards: Trahan PAT 24
