Dog "D" Tough Act over Forest Brook 35 - 12

With Sampere out for a while with injuries, Sophomore Kirby Bellow was greased up and thrown into the fire. With having to play the 4th quarter of the Brenham game he was able to start the game knowing what he was about to go through. He still had a few jitters and in the 1st quarter threw an interception, but then connected 4 times with Asa Cardenas (9yards), Chris Gutierrez (6 yards), Adam Broussard (4yards), Ryan Brady (20 yards) for Touchdowns.

Cameron Bass, Paul Roy, Chris Gutierrez, and Bryce Breaux all rotated in to carry the pigskin and in the 4th quarter Bryce Breaux dashed through the middle for a 10 yard TD with Jude Vidrine going 5 for 5 on PAT's.

Defense was stellar throughout the game only allowing one touchdown and special teams accounting for the other Forrest Brook 81 yard kickoff return TD. Forest Brook came out in the 3rd quarter and ran down the field and punched one in, but since they missed their first PAT they decided to try 2pt conversion but Reagan Stanley will have no part of that and knocked the intended pass down holding FB to 12 points.  It was FB's first game and each time they punted Lovelady and Stanley were applying pressure, blocking one and causing fumble on one. Defense made big time stop after big time stop causing confusion (disorder; upheaval; tumult; chaos).

The dogs will take on the power run next week against Waller. Dog "D" will be forced to strap up and dig in to stop Waller.

Scoring summary:

Bellow to Cardenas 9 yards: Vadrine PAT

Bellow to Gutierrez 6 yards: Vadrine PAT

Bellow to Broussard 4 yards: Vadrine PAT

Bellow to Brady 20 yards: Vadrine PAT

Breaux 10 yard run: Vadrine PAT
